Joe was studying himself in the mirror when Nick passed by. He caught his arm "Do I look fine,Nick? Does my haircut make my eyebrows thick?"
He studied his older brother. "No. Your eyebrows are thick because they really are." Joe ignored him as he fixed his hair.
"Where are you going anyways?" Nick asked.
"Places." He spatted.
"Seriously!?" He raised his eyebrows.
"That girl is going to know who leads this game tonight."
"You're going to bar tonight? That explains why you had your hair cut yesterday."
He was done fixing his hair and he finally faced him. "Got a problem with that?"
"I'm coming with you."
"What? You can't. Too young." He shrugged and continued going down the stairs.
Nick followed him beyond. "If you don't let me tag along, I'll tell mom and dad."
Joe scoffed. "Mom and dad? They're out of town fixing our next tour, remember?"
"Kevin. I'll tell Kevin. He's in charge."
"Look, Nick. If I can let you come along, I will but unfortunately,I cannot."
Nick got something from his pocket and showed it to Joe. "I have my fake ID."
He studied his brother. "How'd you get that?"
"Doesn't matter. Now, can we go?"
He shrugged. "Fine. But don't make trouble while I do my thing."
"I'm not a kid to be reminded every minute." They walked to the front door and before they could go, Kevin called after them from the kitchen. "Where are you guys going?"
Joe turned to him and so did Nick. "We're going to starbucks to have some drink. Wanna come?" Joe offered.
Kevin eyed them suspiciously. "At this time? Wearing fancy clothes as if you were to seduce someone?"
"What made you think that?" Joe asked.
"The smell of my perfume on your shirt?" Kevin hissed.
"Look, Kev. We're just going to starbucks. Why would Joe let me come along if he's going to seduce that girl?"
"You got a point." Kevin nodded. "Fine. But send me a message if something goes wrong."
"We will." Then they exited the house and went into Joe's car. They were silent until Nick spoke halfway through the ride. "I can't believe I'm better at you in making excuses."
"Oh Please. You just won this time." Then they pulled over after parking. "I guess we're here. Why do you wanna come here anyway?"
Nick smiled. "Joe, I've never seen a bunch of sexy girls at a crowded place."
"Pervert." Joe hit him as they entered. He quickly scanned the room for the girls but did not find any sign until Nick patted him and pointed to the direction where she was flirting with another guy."The victim is there."
Joe nodded and they both sat at a couch as Nick ordered drinks. Joe motioned the waiter to approach him. "Can you send that girl over there a drink? And give her this note. Don't tell her it's from me." The waiter nodded as Nick listened to the band playing. Joe watched as the waiter gave the drink and note to Selena and he laughed at her expression.
"Who sent it?" Selena asked the waiter and he just shrugged and left. Selena read the note saying, 'I guess I got you this time.' and she laughed to herself before scanning the room then she spotted Joe staring at her, as if his eyes were pulling her closer and closer to him. She looked away and continued flirting with the guy. Joe shifted from his seat, obviously taken aback.
"That girl is unbelievable."
"I bet you're not gonna win tonight,dude." Nick declared.
"Watch me." Joe stood up and headed to Selena's direction. He patted the guy's shoulder. "Bad news,man. She's mine tonight." Then he looked over at Selena.
The guy recognized Joe. "Can..can I get your autograph? I'm a big fan."
"Really?" Joe asked.
"Yeah..I think you're the hottest brother. And OMG. You got your hair cut. The Joe Hawk. Autograph please?"
Joe smiled and couldn't help but laugh when he saw Selena's disgusted face. "Sure,sure." Joe signed it and the guy left them, obviously forgetting about Selena. Joe sat beside her afterwards. "Looks like your date was more interested to me than to you." He stared at her from his glass.
She flipped her hair. "He's not my date. I was waiting for someone."
"Particularly?"
"No one you should know...Joe,right?" She looked at him sideways.
"Right. And you are?"
"Selena."
"That's a nice name."
"Thanks....I was--" She was not able to finish her sentence because he immediately covered her lips with his. She was stunned to even pull away. Before she knew it, his arms were around her and he felt his cocky smile between their lips. Then it hit her. He was playing with her. She then decided to backfire his plan as she tickled the sensitive part of his ear. He groaned and stirred as she pulled away.
"Now, who's got who?" She smiled seductively at him as she drink.
