i played this song for a girl my 2nd semester of college and fell in love with it. her version was in d minor while this one is in f minor but i have no idea what the original key is. there's recording somewhere of thomas allen singing it and it's divine.

I love the Quilter version of this song (I sang it way back when). I really appreciate your diction, because often the text is lost and the listeners don't understand the real impact of the song. I think it could have used a bit more dynamic variation, but maybe that didn't come through in the recording. :)Thanks for sharing!
