In this week's edition of Gunpla TV we show you how to use enamels to panel line your Gundam pieces. With panel washes you can get a terrific result with only a little bit of time and effort. Remember, these are chemicals so all safety precautions should be followed as you use enamels and thinner, etc. Be sure to work in a well ventilated area.

Gundam models shown in this video :
- 1/144 HG GPB-X80
- 1/144 Hi-Nu Gundam GPB Color
- Extra pieces from the 1/144 HG Avalanche Exia Dash
- Back armor of the 1/100 MG RX-77-2 Guncannon with Special Clear Armor Parts

- HF Pointed Brush Small
- Cotton Swab

  • @Believe6

thanks bro, i'm just curious cause most of the time i'm using acrylic paint

  • I've used both acrylic and enamel, and honestly, it just depends on what you prefer. some say acrylic chips easily and others say enamel is a pain in the butt. I say if you new to model period, use acrylic. it's water soluble, so tap water washes you brushes. and it's forgiving. Enamel, you work with very toxic fumes and you need allot of circulation or ventilation, and frankly paint thinner is pricey if you go to hobby stores. I buy paint thinner from the hardware store. a gallon for $10

  • @ hobbylink is it ok to use acrylic paint?

  • Never knew that before. Actually, I was thinking of buying the pen but maybe I should try the enamel. I am thinking of buying a MG Master Gundam. How much does it cost there? Is there a perfect grade of it?

  • i never knew you could wash the runners i got to try that when i get my master grade 00 raiser kit hanks hobbylink for showing that.

  • @hobbylink he meant the song on the opening

  • @getsugandrew start by building HG kit...

  • should I use the Copic Modeler or enamel for panel lining for 1/100 Wing Gundam Zero Custom?

  • What is the best gundam kit you would recomend to a bigginger to models and to gunpla who has no experince but has the motivation to wabt to et as good as you sumday or better

  • I think i mite panel wash turn a's legs, this seems much faster and efficient good tip, and i didnt kno bout the washing thatll help a lot!!
