This story was assembled from interviews that were filmed for the new documentary, Murder By Proxy: How America Went Postal. It isn't part of the documentary, which mostly focuses on postal and general workplace violence.

STORY BACKGROUND
Debora Kovac took care of Robbie Hawkins in the months leading up to the Westroads shooting. Following the massacre, her family was demonized by many because of their association with Hawkins.

This is actually really sad. I do not think it was right for Robert to kill innocent people but he was a troubled teen. It is really terrible to grow up without anyone supporting you. His mother and father should be ashamed of themselves for letting that happen to their child. They should not even consider themselves human beings. This is a lesson to all people not to bully others. AND I AM AMAZED THAT MOST PEOPLE HAVE STILL NOT LEARNED THAT LESSON...

@strong5748 emmm not sure whether loving them too much will help......discipline must be maintained and boundries must be declared and guarded...tell em whats wrong and whats right and when they do wrong punish em.....this balance is the reason that asian kids tend to be more respectful and obedient...as for life well a few nut jobs will always be there whose behavior and motives can never be understood or explained...those were made by god so that cops can get their kicks lols.
