She is one of country music's most wonderful female singers. What a voice and what a delivery.

Pure Class! Country Music at it's best. Happy Birthday Connie!! She will be inducted into WV Hall of Fame in Oct. Well deserved. I think she is the greatest female singer of all time!! It's a shame "trashville" can't get it's act together and put her in CM HOF. Fans should look for her new CD which comes out this month.

she has a moustache

@WALRU11 Well said that is the truth..

Aside from a clear, strong, melodic voice, Connie Smith has always displayed execptional lyrical interpretation and phrasing. She infuses each song with such stellar vocal qualities that even mediocre material is transformed into something memorable, even magical. Connie Smith is a country music star of the first magnitude.

@CNote2Cnote" Burning A Hole In My Mind " can be found on the "Essential Connie Smith" CD.Funny I was just looking for that one myself! It too is a great tune by Connie. Marty was like the rest of us,in love with Connie, only he got to marry her (years later)!! Lucky guy!
