I would NEVER have this surgery again. I have had massive bladder infection issues...and it is the most horrible surgery I have ever had. I am 6 weeks out and still can't stand the bladder pain... I have had 15 doctor visits to many doctors trying to seek help! This is a horrible way to have a hysterectomy.

I had this surgery 2 days ago. I had surgery at 10:30 am and was back home by 4:00 pm. I had Uterus and both overies removed. I was able to urinate before I even left the hospital. I have taken nothing for pain except an anti inflammatory which I didn't even take last night. I had worse cramps before the surgery than pain after - I also have very little bruising. Maybe my physician is just an excellent operator of this machine.....but I think it's the way to go.

What they don't tell you is that you have so much trouble urinating... I developed a bladder infection/uti infection. You do need to take time to heal... and it does hurt.
