@sabadashi It always strikes me in awe how planes flying oversea routeshave the ability to fly on one engine... and then see the 747-400 take off with the trent by itself, that alone is enough to put wowzers in my trousers...

If you want to see an engine that's even bigger, check out the Trent 900, the one that powers the A380. Lower thrust than the 1000 but a bigger fan.

That was a touch-and-go. A planned maneuver. Tha aircraft balance was maintained with additional fuel in the right wing tank.

Probably cause there's one of the big engines on only one side.
