@Avenusus Thank you so much! I will check those out.

@govnoseobjesilo Sorry, Valter is actually based on a real person named Vladimir Peric Walter who was the leader of a Serbian resistance group in WW2. He was killed by a hand grenade on the day that his city was liberated. He was 26 years old. The movie is a dramatization; only his name and the fact that he was the leader of a resistance group were kept. But he was a real person.

@nepherdwen His spirit is with us. Was Valter part of his real name or code name?

@ShadowSwan1981 if you liked the movie, i would recommend you to watch Battle of neretva, or Long dark night (Duga mračna noć) y 2004, i think there should be english subs

@deki740 Thank you for taking the time to explain to me. :-) I looked it up on Wikipedia just now. I have watched the movie twice and I feel very overwhelmed at the courage of Valter and the rest of the resistance.

The movie was a dramatization. The only thing that is the same is his name and the fact that he was the commander of the underground in Sarajevo.
The real Valter died on the day that Sarajevo was liberated by Partisan forces. There is even a bust of Valter in Sarajevo as a memorial.

@deki740 So is Valter in the movie based on him, because from every source I have found he was a fictional character.

@govnoseobjesilo (continued) and destroy the current government and the social and political problems affecting former Yugoslavia today. The line, "the air is flickering, as if the sky is burning" is used in the song and refers to a line resistance members use in the movie to identify themselves. The movie is called "Walter Brani Sarajevo" or "Valter Defends Sarajevo". I STRONGLY recommend you check it out, it is extremely meaningful and inspirational.

@govnoseobjesilo You can look up translation using Google. It is about a fictional character named Valter who was a resistance fighter in what is now Bosnia, during World War 2. There is a movie about him available in their language and in Chinese (I don't know if there is an English version). Valter is still a heroic symbol in former Yugoslavia, and this song explains how the people will become Valter (like Mahatma Gandhi's quote, "We must be the change we wish to see in the world" (continued)
