I'm a lawyer. Seriously, sometimes I don't even believe it myself. I'm pretty sure every state has a workers' comp system. Basically, you cannot sue your employer to get money. But they will give you workers' comp if you are unable to work. They will also pay for your rehabilitation.

freakin americans, get a wrist brace bandage thingy, it will help, i used to get minor injuries at work all the time. and dont get mad that i said freaking americans, it's just that we see you guys suing over everything, and we feel higher and mightier then you, lol im sure you have felt the same, right? ofcourse being in Canada with free healthcare makes us not need to sue to pay for med bills;)

And you probably won't be able to collect workers' comp for very long, if at all. Because box-lifting isn't your profession, it's a temp job. They'll just tell you to get a different job.
