i would just like to say this is an amazing achievement. i am a firefighter and let me tell you this exercise is no joke. congratulations on a wonderful achievement. keep on pushing forward. the fire service needs great examples like this.
-
Awesome! I wish the kids I teach at the fire academy had half this much heart. The fire service would be a much different place.
-
oh wow ok thanks for explaining it i wasnt too sure

Its tough for the guys too. I've competed a few times and by the time you get to the dummy ur just gassed. Draper is a monster.....she works out of Colorado Springs FD. She is the first woman to break the 2 minute mark. BTW, I'm fairly strong and my PR is a 2:05. I'm no stud, but just shows you how badass Draper is.
-
she was doign amazign so fast then when she got to the lifting it kinda went slow, do women have a harder time when it comes to lifting the dummy?
-
The high rise pack is a section of 2 1/2 inch hose, so like 45 pounds, and that dummy is around 175ish.
-
How much do those things weigh that they carry up the stairs, and how much are the dummies?

This goes out to all of you that think you can beat Juliet. Maybe, but one thing is for sure, she can hold her own. I served with Juliet in the Army as a firefighter and we have known eachother for 20 years. One thing that I do know is that anytime the shit hit the fan, I knew I could count on her. We trained together, in fact I helped her train for her first bodybuilding competition where she placed 2nd in the female heavyweight division and 1st place in the overall. Do what you do baby. Aloha

oh wow I remember watching her that was awesome
I guess everyman isn't faster than everywoman. Kevin Tjelle, Jack Hickey,Denny Peffer,Stacy Billapando; all champions, helped. Maybe some highly paid athlete can come up with stuff to fake the test, on a firefighter's salary I don't think so. I'm her partner and I train with her. Find me a athlete willing to eat all their meals at home, work, train eat and rest for 3 years to meet a goal. Thanks for the congratulation.

performance enhancing "stimulants" I wonder? Any drug testing done on her after this race?

No test done after this race. However testing will be done at worlds and testing was done last year at the State Games of America where she won the powerlifting contest with lifts of 1004lbs. What you see is 26 years of weight lifting, no drinking, smoking or supplements a pristine diet and hard work, discipline and dedication. We will show you how to do it if you are interested.
