IRUVAR - Kannai Katti | இருவர்

Iruvar (The Duo) (1997) is a Tamil language Indian film directed and co-written by Mani Ratnam, with music composed by A. R. Rahman. Mohanlal and Prakash Raj played lead roles in the film. Tabu, Gouthami, Revathi Menon and Nasser star in supporting roles. The film also saw the movie debut of Aishwarya Rai, then merely a model and former beauty queen (as well as an aspiring actress). It was subsequently dubbed in Telugu under the title Iddaru and Malayalam as Iruvar. The cinematography was by Santosh Sivan.

The film was showcased in The Masters section at the 1997 Toronto International Film Festival. The film won the Best Film award at the Belgrade International Film Festival, two National Film Awards, and two Filmfare Awards South.

no matter how many times you watch it, this song, from the best movie ever to come out in Indian cinema (arguably), underlines the fact that the union of legends like Maniratnam, Mohanlal, A.R.Rahman, Prakash Raj, Santhosh Sivan results in nothing short than a classic..

Great song . Superb acting by Mohanlal . Ash rox . She looks too cute . The best part was when Mohanlal carries her with just one hand ! I couldn't believe my eyes . It looked as though Ash was just a small baby . I also liked it when Mohanlal carried Ash in his arms and then droped her in the water .

I have heard people say "...would look good in a garbage bag" etc. - well righ here Ash personifies that! Crappy outfit and she looks absolutely radiant. This woman myyyy she is so beautiful, dances well and acting is also not bad. Dunno why people say nasty stuff about her. I am all for freedom of opinion etc. but it is sad when people want to find only faults and cannot enjoy the beauty, grace, talent and admire the success of this woman. Mohanlal - no words - living the role... true master...
