  • You will be fine on that beast. I had an 07 and sold it and plan on purchasing either an 09 or a 09 Busa. Undecided yet. Throw some Tsukigi slip ons and a PCIII and a good tune and that thing will rock!!!

  • Cool thanks! I have already started shopping for exhaust!!

  • Yes this is my first bike. My riding experience is probably less than what you yourself have. I have not taken my MSF yet ,but plan on doing it soon. Now thats out of the way let me clarify. First I am a tall guy. Im 6'5 250 lbs. I really do not fit on the smaller bikes to well. I have researched this bike for a while and discovered its pretty docile below 4000 rpm. Its very easy to drive. With that said, the bike is only as dangerous as you make it. I would say get a ninja 250.

  • The bike isn't "as dangerous as you make it". Heavy unpredictable bikes remain heavy and unpredictable no matter your skill level.

Post a video of the fairings once you drop it. ;-)

  • Will do! lol

  • I love this bike and are getting mines soon. Someone stole my gsxr1000, this baby is going to stay in the house. Don't care what anyone says.

  • out of all the limited edition colors, this is by far the hotest looking....

  • Though I do agree this is a lot of bike for a first bike, I will say that if you just take it slow for a while and get used to riding and keep the throttle under control for a while you should be ok. I went from a GSXR 600 to a 1000 then to a hayabusa before I got my 14 and I love it. I rode a gsxr 600 the other day just for kicks and I have to say it wasnt a thrill after having my zx14 for the past year. Just be careful and dont try and show off until you get more experience and you will be ok.

  • Congrats. I have a 2000 ZX-12R.. and I started on a 1998 CBR900RR. I am still around after 10 years of riding. Don't listen to people. You will do just fine on the bike as long as you pay attention and learn some throttle control. Good looking paint on that bike as well. Best of luck. -Kevin

  • Is this really your first bike? If so have you been riding long? I am a novice with only MSF under my belt and haven't gotten a zx yet! What do you suggest?
