@davidoffon You are right David. That was just my feeling in the moment. I don't normally "dictate tastes" and I am not asking for people to only express their "positive" feelings. I am a critic too.

@martingoldstein9 You're dictating taste to other people, this woman would have me dancing with corpses most of the time & they'd have rhythm but with this I don't really get it. The idea that others cannot account for their feelings on a song unless they are positive makes the joke on those who believe they've seen the light and that the nonbelievers are pharisees!! Oh, & it makes no difference how subtle the jibes are. I like, I don't like, it is my business as long as I try respecting others

@7troding The white man has a lot to answer for and still can't hear the question!!

@Wisegeorge This is SO very true. I've been saying it for years now. It's as if both sets of chords (vocal and piano) are a natural extension of the other.

thank you ver ver much for all videos

@wolmaransfg Nice. You really think my comment deserves that? I simply say that I don't like this piece and say why in a civil way and you think that the proper way to respond is to personally insult me? This is a great piano performance and the song is of course classic. But the mood of the one doesn't seem to have anything to do with the other, IM(H)O. Are you just a rabid fanboy or would you care to discuss your position?

Her vocals and piano playing can each stand alone as great but when combined they become phenomenal. I've watched this twenty times in five years and it leaves me in awe over and over again.

Stunning. Un-frickin-believable. Don't you wish other artists stayed as flexible as this, and were willing to rework their standards in new ways to prove their sheer brilliance? How many hours did she spend perfecting this version? It was worth every minute of effort.
She was a rare master.

her dream was to be a concert pianist , but was always dismayed that she was hindered from that genre because of her race . she is still one of the greatest pianist in my book bar non.
