My (Ah-Muhn-Rah) version of the Assassin's Creed Hidden Blade from AC2/BH

I designed it in SolidWorks and made the parts with an Eden 350 3D printer.
Materials:
Clear: Full Cure 720
Black: Vero Black Full Cure 870

Based on a dual action Out The Front (OTF) Mechanism with a ring driven ratcheting pulley system to index the OTF Mech.

(OTF Mech: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XMpIJ...)

Blade locks in both the extended and retracted positions and can be extended and retracted regardless of arm orientation (no gravity/arm shake required).

In order to make and sell PLASTIC cosplay versions of this/get ready for limited production, the injection tooling would be very expensive (~$2500 per tool times ~10 tools) as would the parts of the tools. I do not personally have the free time to go into production on a product like this so I have already contacted Ubiworkshop to see if they are interested in my design....They are not.

Therefore I am NOT selling this prop. If you really want one, I recommend you put in the personal time/effort and build your own version. I had a fun time desinging and creating this version and I assume you'll have just as much fun creating your own design.

I'm not planning on making more of or selling this prop.
I'm not planning on posting how to's, instructions, guides, etc...

Since I like ALL my fingers and have a dislike for overzealous cops, the non-prototype blade is not remotely sharp / pointy. The " blade " is clear plastic. The silver blade you see is the painted negative space missing from the back side of the clear plastic. The painted back creates the illusion of a real blade.

Truthfully, I threw this video together in 10 or so minutes because I was just procrastinating being too lazy to edit and cut together my custom lightsaber video.

If you look at my other videos, you'll see I usually spend just a bit more time on their overall quality. Sure my hidden blade is a bit better than most on YouTube (from a mechanism accuracy /size point of view) but I didn't think anyone would get excited about this prop..... Shows you what I know...
