This is a video about an electric ride-on toy train called Santa Fe by Peg Perego which I found next to a garbage bin and had to modify slightly to get it to work again.

  • Did you do anything to increase weight carrying max? The instructions on those things recommend 40lbs!!! Nice work.

  • No, I didn't... but Peg Perego vehicles are known to be pretty stable. And the circuit breaker is missing which there originally was, otherwise it might shut off at that weight. Also, the motor goes down to about 55% of no-load speed with my weight on it, and also gets very hot if I ride for more than a few minutes at a time.

  • hahaha... hilarious. My daughter is getting a Thomas version for Xmas, but I'd hate to break her's if I tried to ride it.

  • Don't worry... Peg Perego toys are pretty sturdy. Just don't ride it for more than a few minutes at a time, or the motor will get very hot!

  • is it possible to put words in your tag list to find this very wise video like *train* *ride on vehicle* *rebuild* *refurbish* or mechanical words to find this very wise fixed battery electronic car?

  • OK, I've now extended the tagging for this video.
