Iron Maiden's "Run Silent Run Deep" on bass - LRRG

Well, here is another tune I recorded on Sunday. This one is one of the better tunes off of No Prayer for the Dying. There is something that I absolutely LOVE about the main verse riff of the tune. No one can play triplets like Maiden. As you can see, my cat tried to "torpedo" this tune about submarines.

And how does harris get that ringing sound on top of all his notes..and stil ther is no noise or boomming effect...cud u explain tha one too pls ??

Steve has a "clack" to his playing that is generated from a strong treble plus his strings hitting the fretboard...and he plays by the bridge, which tends to increase treble. It is part of his play style. I have a similar click, but it is not generated the same way. Mine comes from a bass with a natural strong attack plus I strike the strings very hard over the pickup, also, I do not leave my right hand fingers on the string to muffle in-between notes.

Three notes played in rapid succession, followed by a space. The effect is to create a sound like a galloping horse. Think the theme song to the Lone Ranger.
