All,
Used a meat whistle fly (jig wooly bugger) from tight lines in Pine Brook. Just on the other side of the High School near the tide gate. Fish are big and crazy. Try using a wire leader that can be knotted. I found a spool at Tight Lines for about $12.00, not for carp, but for everything else that chomped through my line. Lots of fish, happened around May or so. LOVE that river and I live in Sparta. Will travel for fish like this. Sorry not as attentive to the site as I should.

No way would I eat it, I did not even whant to touch it. What a blast though! 8 wt rod bent like a noodle. Three good runs on this fish, and it was not the largest, just the only one I was able to film.
