Clubhouse Beach East, Everglades National Park - Solo Kayak

A solo kayak trip out of Flamingo boat ramps at Everglades National Park, heading West along the coast to Clubhouse Beach East (beach front campground). This trip started the day before Thanksgiving and paddled back the morning of. No better way to build an appetite for turkey day..

Paddled with sharks, saw a huge diamond back rattle snake sunning on the beach, came across 3 saltwater crocodiles, saw a huge tarpon chasing prey in the flats, huge schools of redfish, set up my hammock in the breeze on the shore, enjoyed a beautiful sunset, then finished the night with a driftwood campfire.

How do you follow a water trail? Are there markers?

@supercj8899 No, real trail-- Just follow the shoreline. I used a gps to verify mileage, the mileage to each of the shoreline camping areas is listed at the park where you get your permit.

Hi, thanks for the video - I am planning to go kayaking in the everglades in february, I only have about 2 days - which route would you suggest?

where are the best wildlife viewing and camping possibilities? would you suggest to go to to florida bay or rather something like hells bay/ mangrove ponds,...
