Ah, what's always interesting to me is what is missing from books. Heard of the film "Jesus in India"? It's about what may have happened during his life from the ages of 12 and 30 ... which the Bible doesn't really cover.

..actually, god does have a 'sex'. in the bible, it is stated that man was created in god`s image...the first beings created was man, by the name of adam. and, want more proof that spiritual beings have a 'sex'?...well, jesus, just as we are, was human, and a male. however, he was never known to commit a sin, and, because of this goodness, he was able to go to heaven, to live as a god. all human kind was meant to be that way, but, through sin and greed that is impossible. jesus lives as a spirit

I'm never sure what folks mean when they quote the Bible, which was written by guys like you and me, and then say that the book contains "God's word". To me, the Bible seems like an unauthorized biography or historical fiction.

Read the bible... God is not encased in a physical body and when He was He came as a man only to continue the order that he s!!t in Eden. If He had created Eve first He would've come back in a female body. The only thing we can do as mortal and finite as we are is accept what God has established. He is neither man nor woman but a spirit!!! Matthew 22:23-32 (emphasis on verse 29 and 30) and also refer to Romans 9:20...

Love me or hate me God's word is the truth.

Ya Marlion, I just saw an exhibit about Mama Wata at the African Art Museum in Washington DC. Her goddess-ness began with a circus poster. Pretty fascinating how people make gods from every thought or desire or hunger. The story's on wikipedia if you're interested ... just search "Mama Wata".
