Whenever communities decide to build their own broadband networks, they are met with accusations from massive incumbent telephone and cable companies saying that it is not fair for local governments to compete against the private sector.
So we put together this video to analyze which party actually has the advantages. The conclusion is unsurprising, given how little competition we have for broadband in the U.S - incumbent providers have almost all the advantages.
