Actually I have seen a housing area here that is green. Another problem with someone extremely low income using this is, are they educated enough to be able to use it?

One thing I had added to my house is a wholehouse fan. We use it when the air is clean and cool outside, either at night or early in the morning. By doing that, I don't need my air conditioner to come on at all. Then I use fans to feel cooler......and it really cuts down on my power. However, I would love to have energy panels, and I plan to get some eventually

How about these guys team up with House for Humanity and start giving green homes away. Then they can start making green homes for working class people, you know REAL people... No normal person is going to be able to afford a house like that.
