The people on TWA 800 thought they were in good hands and they would NOT be in an emergency. Only to die about 10 minutes after takeoff!

Closer to 30 years old, actually. I flew TWA in August of 1996. My flight from Austin to St. Luis was on a DC-9-15 from 1968, and the St. Luis - London flight was a 747-100 built in 1972.

The one it was replaced with must have been very similar then. I flew a TWA 747-100 a month after 800 went down. I could swear this is the same video they showed on that flight.
