Trains were brought to a stop in India's Haryana state early Friday morning after a collision between two freight trains. There are no injuries reported, and driver error may be to blame.
A diesel locomotive of India's Northern Railway derailed after it rammed into a freight train in the state of Haryana on Friday morning.
According to local media reports, the locomotive rammed in the middle of Delhi-bound freight train.
There were no casualties reported since it was not a passenger train.
Besides, the locomotive, many wagons of the freight trains also derailed and three of them were badly damaged.
Officials say an inquiry has been launched to find out how this happened.
[P A Sangi, Divisional Railways Manager, Ambala Division]:
"You can see the damage for yourself, three VFRs and a diesel engine have been derailed. It seems that three bogies (of freight train) have been damaged."
Officials believe negligent driving may be to blame on the part of the diesel engine's driver... who may have jumped a red signal.
