yeah but thats just it. its irony within irony. he is unknowingly an existentialist because he realizes the absurdity and pointlessness of life. he seemingly kills him for no good reason. but beneath the surface, youl find that he has a VERY good reason. he kills him because, ultimately, it doesnt matter. he doesnt care anymore because life is pointless and absurd. and yes..... an amazing and unique piece of literature.
