I can safely say that you have well and truly missed the point, and perhaps that if you read up a bit on the making of the album and the show, you might gain a greater appreciation/understand of what you've just seen. Plenty online that gives all the background you could want. I'll leave it at that.

@donstuie Without trying to extend this further I disagree. If that was the point as you say, why was the band fully out front in the second half (in front of the wall) still playing in the dark. The drummer was great (couldn't see him) the other musicians were also fantastic (couldn't see them). The only concert I have been to where there was no encore, everyone just walked out 'cause you couldn't see the band??? :/

@albanyjohn Again, that's the whole point. The whole idea of The Wall was to signify the barrier seperating the band from its audience at the time, so they would play from behind it.

@donstuie Yes you could say that but if the band is ignored all that's left is virtually a live music video. As I said I enjoyed the concert but if you can't see a live band then you may as well just have recorded music?

Saw the show Friday night in Perth WA. It was fantastic however I went away thinking there was something missing... then it occurred to me, NO LIVE BIG SCREEN VIEW OF THE BAND. You couldn't see the band? The special effects were great but I really would have liked to see the musicians especially those guitar solos high up on the wall. Are you listening Rodger?
