Being prompted to get my Byron Pitts S-2A flying again, here is what I had to do to get the engine tweaked up plus a couple of flights. Hope you enjoy the sweet sound of this Italian Rossi engine on the Byro drive.
Thanks for watching.
Smaller Pitts are available from Nitroplanes.com

  • That was a great video.

  • Thanks kindly. Hope you get to see the other one of The vintage Pitts going down in the cornfield.

  • your soldering gun is a classic lol

  • Haha. It works best for me too. LOL.

  • Sure ... I would sell it if someone wanted it. I doubt I ever get around to it.

  • Pm me with details. Like does it have the covering ?

(7 rolls of monocoat it took for mine )

Does it have a Byro Drive? Missing Parts? How much do you want?

  • @NightFlyyer Excellent.......! how many rpm did you get with that big prop;

  • thats a prettey sewwt looking plane dave beautiful engine sound there and very impressive work great job cant wait to see more of this legend ;) ~ del

  • Now that's what i call a curb jumping LOL Really nice plane and video, like always

  • I'd think you might want to come in a little faster. You should have better control for a softer landing. It looked like the starboard wheel took a beating on that one.

  • Wow.. you were lucky at the first take-off (kerb) :) And the plane looks kind off exactly the same as my Multiplex Gemini :)

  • Nice video.

I have the exact same plane.

It also has not flown for 25 years.

I just got back into the hobby and my plan is to see it fly again.

It has a Quadra 50cc gas motor.

It also has Kraft radio/servoes in it that I have to modify or replace.

I will be using a Spektrum DX8 Tx.

P.S. The quadra sounds better !!

  • Why would you risk a model like that by flying on a public road, or private drive road, with a curb that almost destroyed your model?

  • @GAKtion64 FPV :-)
