@youllregretit Just use truffle oil instead, it's cheaper and just one drop is very potent.

@youllregretit I tried this recepe last Thanksgiving but just used Truffle oil instead. Much cheaper and still gives you an amazing flavor.

i'm going to do this for thanksgiving in a week! i'm going to use porcini mushroom instead of truffle. i'm pretty sure the store won't have the truffle, and who can afford that anyways?

truffle is probably one of the most exciting and expensive food ingredients in the world. its hard to find (only trained dogs and pigs could find it) and only avaliable from september to december.
the taste of truffle, to me is quite earthy.. in a amazing way though. of course to some people, especially who taste them 4 the 1st time, they think it smells.
if you have chance you should try truffles from Alba Pompeia, expensive, but worth every penny. especially when you are a true foodie.
