  • I think calton hill is pretty... It was a good place to shoot for stereodykes as it is pretty central to the gay scene.. hobbes social contract because I thought it would look good, and knew for sure there was a bit on the hill that would be usable. Maybe it is favouritism, I've filmed up there lots.. but I love it!

  • It was very propagandish to show people actually signing the social contract. Instead the person in charge should have been shown signing all of their names and then taking money from them.

  • Question. What is the name of this song?

  • Lol I have to revise Hobbes and Mill for an exam tomorrow, I can't be bothered!!

"reduced" - You say it yourself that it is the State of Nature is the earliest state of man, therefore it is less advanced then the society Hobbes proposes and so If we were to step back to the original state of nature we would be going backwards and our society would be reduced to a more primitive way of existing. The second part of your question can be answered the same way. Due to the lack of government in society life would be nasty, brutish and short.

  • You clearly don't know what ANARCHY means.

  • @tubebellator Who cannot read or write? Afghans? Where'd you get that assumption?

  • That would make one good Dairy Milk advert.

  • Hobbes is a JOKE! The ruling elite love him because his philosophy seems to lend legitimacy to those who claim to "protect" others WITHOUT a contract.

I NEVER SIGNED ANY SOCIAL CONTRACT. Hobbes knew this, the jerk.

  • One may find it interesting the work of: John Locke, Thomas Hobbes, Thomas Jefferson, etc, is incomplete when using the language of science to prove our unalienable Rights are part of the Laws of Nature. These unalienable Rights apply to all Life, from bacteria to humans, and Social systems, including Charles Darwin’s research. These Rights are a Grand Unification principle for all Living-systems (see my channel video).
