i am always gonna be a fan of the casualties

i enjoy listening to all their music

but i have to say their early work is probably my favorite

because all of those songs were about just being a punk and having it tough in life

dont get me wrong like i said i like all their work but to me their newer stuff isnt as good

because its about politics, and war,

that music is good but i cant relate to that too well i cant relate to the president or getting shipped off to war

eh...they were better as a pogo punk band. They were never good musicians, but it was crazy fun when it was singalong chants. Now it's just thrash takes recycling skpetix and gbh riffs....at this point they're recycling their own riffs.

@shitfacedreprobate You'd need to send a demo to the booker, with lyrics and stuff. I think they're probably full up for the next couple months though. They do not book: Sexist, homophobic, or racist bands. So basically if you're GG you're screwed. One of their bookers is leaving so you need to talk to a booker named Bill.

PS they do a lot of crust and raw punk shows now.

@whitetrashoutlaw ill be visiting my uncle up there next month. im from a small town in ohio, and in a punk band. it really sucks because the slosest anyone gets to punk around here with the exception of my band and myself is blink 182 or sinple plan. i really hate it, and nobody wants us to play. would you know how to get a show up there?

@shitfacedreprobate Yeah they do a punk show every saturday, if you're ever in NYC go they're supposedly demolishing it next year. It's at 156 rivington street. A couple blocks from the subway at delancy and essex.
