  • This was the Tempts sound before they became polished ! Eddie did not quite have the control he eventually accomplished!~ But it stills sounds great!~ This is them at their rawest! And it's still not a singing group to even come close EVER to 5 of the greatest male singers in one group! ladies and gentlemen I'm David and these,Oops! I mean we are! the TEMPTATIONS!!~ I saw them on 2-10-11 in Baltimore! Otis still doing his thing after 50 years! And they sounded GREAT!~ Harmony still very TIGHT!

  • @tedkay Paradise was before David Ruffin, Al Bryant was still in the group

  • dont talk before you play the song nobody wants to hear you talk

  • beautiful music.

  • im only 14 and i love this song and the Temptations

  • @TheMackado 'Meet the Temptations' was recorded mainly in 1963. Ruffin was not on 'Paradise'. The only song recorded in 1964 and the only song David Ruffin appears on is 'The Way You Do the Things You Do', recorded in 1964. Ruffin was not with the Temps at all before 1964 though he was placed on the album cover. Only the Funk Brothers played in the studio for all Motown acts. Ruffin did play drums earlier in his career, but never for the Temptations.

  • P.S. Ruffin is not wearing glasses on this cover, but it's him. Ruffin also sang background before he even joined the group and he played the drums for them prior to joining. Not much I don't know about Ruffin.

  • MotownMaster, David Ruffin is right on the front cover of this album, Meet the Temptations, Farewell my Love, Slow Down Heart, some of the other songs on there, and the Temptations voices were always polished, Eddie was just young on this cut. Even David Ruffin's voice changed a weee bit as they aged, but they were like fine wine, just got better with time. I'm by no means trying to put you down because this is a great post- However Ruffin was there. Pull it up on You Tube, Bless you!

  • Thanks for the info. I didn't know this was in response to the four seasons. It makes sense with Eddies beautiful voice !

  • I AM TWELEV AND i love the Temptations.. I wish there could be more music like this!

  • @Cameron494C hes giving you da info dummy
