The G530 is faster than an E8400. Yes, you read that right.

Seems there are graphical and audio glitches when running BF3 + G530 CPU + video capture. I'd bet the vid capture is at least partially software based, and bumping heads with the BF3 processing. The tested machine is clearly more powerful than an Xbox 360.

@doglad12 yeah, the processor will bottleneck it, but it will be fine. I had an Athlon X2 coupled with a 4890, and upgrading to a E8400 solved my problems, I can run all the games at maximum settings now.

@BlackClawReventoN i don't know what a G640 is but i recomend a 4x core. other than that it's all good but if you want to max it out i suggest any HD6850+ from AMD or the latest from nvidia 560Ti or whatever it is, i don't remember. but you get more power for your money with an AMD. RAM's top good, same as HDD's.

so is this cpu better than the core 2 duo e4500.lga775 socket please could someone help me.cause im going to upgrade to the evga p55 MOBO which requires me to change the cpu so i need to know if the e4500 is better or worse than the celeron g530.please help.thanks.

@Kf1rr thanks so much i was not able to find anything online on which one was better i just didn't want to downgrade anything wanted to upgrade but go with something a bit cheaper until i run across some money.well thanks for responding.

@milkweed728 yes no problem this celeron g530 have +-same performance like core2duo e8300 cpu....and also much higher memory bandwidth around 15000mb/s
