dude, so much good music came out of the UK, like fucking king crimson, early genesis, joy division, david bowie, radiohead, pink floyd, black sabbath, the cure, portishead, brian eno, kate bush, yes, roxy music, scott walker... jeez man thats just to name a few of the widely known greats, the list goes on. you just got to get your head away from metal a little bit and exspand your pallet, trust me i used to be just like you, not that metal isnt awesome, but theres more stuff out there for sure.
