I like this film (and the accompanying book by Alan Landsburg)...it's definitely one of the more thoughtful, mature examinations of the Paleo-SETI theory.

8:08 Represents the Statues on Easter Island, You will also find carvings of the so-called "birdmen" on Easter Island that match the ones carved into the Gate of the Sun in Tiahuanaco. Most donot realize is the carvings, even though they are worn down some by time, appear to be sloppy handwork - most , if not all of the walls and monuments were covered with gold and silver or brass, bronze etc.. and the faces and figures were then given finer details.

It'd have been much better, without a doubt !!!!
-
they were to collect water? now darn it. now you took all the fun out of it.lol

Ya gotta love the high tech background at 2:25. How far we've come in such a short time.
-
The Inca empire, the greatest in the Andes only lasted a hunderd years before being decimated by the Spanish, who were the ones doing the looting.

I remember watching this back in the early 80s on late on NTV, I Had to suffer through a lot of Elves. My favart was the one about the aliens...well I guess they were all about aliens:) I wish they wound reissue it on DVD.
To bad they saw every unexplained thing as being built by ``Aliens``
The Nazca Lines were not used by ancient aliens, they were constructed by the local Indians to collect water, at the time of ther construction a Super El nenio hit, lasted for hundreds of years.
