Suspected al-Qaeda-linked group that took over Radda, a small town about 170km southeast of the capital Sanaa, say that they are closing in on the capital.

The fighters swept up from the southern and eastern provinces on Sunday - to within just a few hundred kilometers of the capital.

While the government in Sanaa has been preoccupied with steering Yemen toward elections scheduled for February, the fighters are taking advantage of the political instability.

The group are also promising that the town, and the country, will soon be under strict Sharia law.

  • @MrChappie1971 I hope so too.

  • lol al-gayeada makes me laugh

  • @Mr1YEMEN1 any idea as to what purpose they are doing this for?

  • @saladinswarrior Europeans travelled many places during the dark ages(european dark ages?) they searched for trade routes to china and many other parts of the world. science and technologies are shown to exist pre-sumerian times. I hope one day humans will see past thier differences and learn to share knowledge equally and truthfully amongst one another, maybe then one day we may achieve peace. maybe.

  • @mercedescl well said, good post.

  • FUCKING ZIONISTS, AGAIN!!!!

  • @saladinswarrior Lol. Modern economies rely on entertainment, service industries, financial planning, and most important of all working & independent women. If you think any nations can keep up with the rest of the world AND practice Islamic laws, you are dreaming.

  • Qatar has a hand in all the instability we see nowadays in Arab countries!

  • @mercedescl Islamic law was implemented in Muslim countries which were prosperous and advanced in science, technology etc at a time when Europe was in dark ages.

Europeans traveled to Cordoba,Toledo(Muslim Spain) etc to seek education.

All the while Islamic law was implemented (though not always perfectly)

    Asalamualaikum warahmatullah

I agree! But still we must attain power through Islamic means. Blowing ourselves up is not an Islamic way of doing that and neither is killing women children and Muslims. But if they are doing it in an Islamic way and their leaders are not deviants then I am all for it and will support them even if it means killing others. But I stress that we should obey and fear Allah when seeking to overthrow kufr.
