Take Note Pellini: Osborne, Frazier and Phillips were magicians. The sleight of hand was deceivingly perfected and using the fullback every once in a while was so, so effective.
@URpoopstinks2 you'll never hear me say the BCS is a great system i think its a fraudulent monopoly led by the media and ESPN based on a big cash grab. miami won 3 BCS bowl games...2000, 2001 and 2003..yeah i watched the Big 12 title game...when its that close not much you can say, never let a team back in it...the so called "black shirts" came up short, since junking the power option NU has not been the same...if it aint broke dont fix it.
@madmac993 miami is still the most successful football school since 1975...they beat teams but they also scheduled ANYBODY and seeing miami is a small school they did not get the luxury of home games they had to go on the road first...miami was what boise state is today but college football couldnt hold miami down like they are doing boise state. miami is the only school who never turned down anyone and kept winning...look at the NFL for the past 25 years...its NFL U for a reason
@madmac993 ok so whos fault is it that UCLA never won 58 games in a row? whos fault is it that UCLA lost games in the rose bowl? miami won a title at the sugar bowl and the rose bowl also..give credit where its due...miami won games at OU, Penn state, florida, tennessee, cotton bowl, all over the place...miami didnt just win at home jimmy johnson and dennis erickson combined for a record of 115-18...from 84' to 94' they won plenty on the road against top 10 and top 5 teams.
@madmac993 the orange bowl had been there since 1937 the orange bowl game was played there that whole entire time...if it was that big of a deal why did miami only start winning games in 1977? miami is not the only team to win a lot of games there...FSU and UF won a lot of orange bowls.the NCAA didnt contribute to any of miami's titles...the NCAA HATES MIAMI..miami won games against all odds and won them on the road also. go look up miami's records they beat EVERYBODY EVERYWHERE..
@madmac993 miami won 58 straight home games...miami was so good it didnt matter if they played on mars they would have still beat people's asses..from 84' to 87' oklahoma only lost 3 games....all to miami thats how good miami was...if that home field was so big why didnt UCLA run off any kind of streaks? they play at the rose bowl..why havent arizona state done anything? they play at the fiesta bowl or at least they used to....miami was that good regardless.
@getyoasshome "it was not that big of an advantage". 58 wins in a row in that stadium is not that big of an advantage? did you just start watching college football? cmon now.
@getyoasshome game where they never lost. for a game that is supposed to be a neutral site for both schools, this sure seems like a gross oversite by the ncaa and surely contributed to at least one of their titles.
@getyoasshome the national championship game was played in new orleans not litterally where LSU plays in baton rouge as was the case for the miami championship teams. in all fairness to ASU and UCLA playing at the old fiesta site in tempe and tghe rose bowl in pasadena respectively. they never once sniffed a 58 game home win streak that miami enjoyed in the 80's and early 90s let alone the dynasty of 4 titles in 9 years. however, 3 of those 4 titles were decided at the orange bowl

Was the crying sound effects necessary? Miami had a good team that year and nearly beat us.
