A CSX trailer train led by an AC6000CW and a very old Conrail C-40 meets a very fast moving Amtrak 48 at the Sheldon Avenue level crossing. Note the brand new gates, lights and e-bells.

  • Why the hell did you speed the video up to make the Amtrak train look fast on an otherwise sweet video?! sigh

  • @NismoFinder The video skipped

  • Yes i see the new lights n gates why so many n i wonder why they not have more like it in my state in georgia....that the crossing gates be same n cover whole road so people can't go around say a reg two lane road r highway

  • CSX was forced into putting 45 million worth of new crossings and tracks and ballast and everything in New York State becuase of a series of bad accidents that hurt there P.R. The local NBC affiliate, WGRZ 2, did a story on it.

  • Nice catch on the AC6000cw, I like the way the radiators hand over the back.

  • that AC6000 was howling such a magnificent machine

  • the fail of a skipping video. i hated when my old camera used to do that.

  • Liked this and Amtrak train was moving fast, so TU. I've recently uploaded a video Techno Music: Steam Trains At High Speed and they seem to be going faster than any of the Amtrak trains I've seen.

  • Whoa

  • 2:35 That is a Nice Horn! GOOD TIMES! ;)

  • MP. "CSX Q299 Clear C.P. 431 Track 1 west CSXT Six One Six out. When you hear the engineer on the radio, they sound like they want to put a bullet in their head(or somebody else's). Not to discourage you, just letting you know what the deal is. :)

  • @biglowgs Not only what novakane87 said, but you have to talk A LOT on the radio. Lets use this CSX train as an example. I'm pretty sure its Q299. Just outside of view in this video, there is a signal bridge. It is at milepost 429. When Q299 gets to that bridge, the engineer will have to say something like this:"CSX Q299, Clear(<I am assuming this was his signal indication) C.P 429, Track 1 west. CSXT Six One Six out." The next signal bridge is at the Amtrak Station. Same thing, just different

  • @biglowgs you can make more money and work a whole lot less if you just go to school and get an education. Here on the railroad you sacrifice a nice normal life to make a mediocre salary.
