Haunts Question 1:

Do you play on XBOX live at all or do yo uonly play in the arcade?

Iyo/Shino Answer: He sometimes plays on Xbox Live

Haunts Question 2: Can you still find good competition on there like in the arcade or is it just for fun?

Iyo/Shino Answer: there are many players out ther eon XBOX live so he can compete against so many players on there so it is comparable to playing in the arcade.

Haunts Question 3: Whats the #1 thing you can do to get better at Street Fighter?

Iyo/Shino Answer: he's been asked so many times this question ever since he became the Champion and he has never been able to answer this question.

Haunts: So its a secret!?

Crackfiend Question: How difficult was the transition from CVS2 to Street Fighter 4?

[Questions about Game title]

Iyo/Shino Answer: When he started to play CVS2 he was recognized and enjoyed it very much, but when he first started with SFIV he wasnt very good at it. The friends he made through previous games helped him get better at it. At first he was very bad and didn't want to play but as he got better he started to enjoy the game more.

Crackfiend Question 2: What is your motivation to continue to play Street Fighter?

Iyo/Shino Answer: There are a couple reasons: One there are so many people playing this game, he has so many opponents to play against. People he used to play but also new people who are playing. The second reason is he hasnt completed what he can do in Street Fighter 4 so he can always improve his skills.

  • Uberific,

Thats a good point. I was surprised when he was like "yeah playing online is cool"- I figured it would be the exact opposite. Now that you mention the geography aspect of it, it's probably just another way to get a couple matches in when hes not at the arcade.

  • I know #1 ranked Sagat player Mago plays on XBL along with some other Japanese top players.

Top Comments

  • Daigo beat Mago 21-9 or something in the arcade not long ago, so don't say there's nobody that compares.

Plus the Japanese players trade wins quite a lot, the level of competition is so high.

What you said was extremely stupid dude.

  • Iyo's the man

  • @lukemanv0 There is no top SF4 player among Japan's elite.. However, Momochi has come to be known as the best shoto user. He gains the upper hand on both Mago and Daigo. Iyo, Maeda, Kindevu, Shiro, and all others that use lesser known players, have beasted in tourneys as well. Iyo having the most godlike reflexes among all Japanese players.

  • @lukemanv0 I heard that Iyo sorta stopped playing is that true?

  • lyo looks like dhalsim wiv hair!

  • Anyone plays on PS3 in japan over there?

  • Could have edited out the waiting for translation though =)

  • Mago's the best. They should have brought him over. There's no one that compares. And if I remember right, he is #2 in BP, and Daigo once said he was better. That was a while ago though.

  • Props on the interviews guys. Been wanting to know more about these 2. Iyo is the man. Really love the attitude he and Daigo brought, truly professionals.

I have to say I'm a little jealous of them over in Japan...not only do they have the arcade scene that's booming over there, but playing online they probably get a lot of greenbar connections to each other thanks to geographic advantages. Since Japan is a lot more compact than the states, both online and arcade scenes likely flourish well.
