That's right. Miley Cyrus got some ink on her skin and it's looking pretty permanent. The Disney star reportedly got a tat just under her heart and chest that reads the words "Just Breathe." It's being mentioned that these color-pricked words may actually serve as a memorial of sorts for Miley's friend who passed away from Cystic Fibrosis in 2007. The first time this skin art saw the public eye was when Miley sported a hot pink bikini while in Miami early December.

Interestingly, the tattoo got spotted just shortly after Miley's bro, Trace, spoke out that MC was about to get a matching one with him. Yep, the older bro said that ditto-ing the tattoo-ing is something that is meaningful and you should do it with someone you're close to, like a sibling.

So what are we thinking about this new "Just Breathe" tattoo? Do you guys think Miley's trying to break out of her Disney mold by doing something daring? I mean, it's not even legal to get a tat under the age of 18 without parental consent, and Cyrus - hello - just celebrated her 17th birthday. Also, gotta throw in that Lindsay Lohan - another young star who red carpet walked her way into adulthood - rocks a tattoo of the word "Breathe" on her wrist. Leave your opinion below.

I agree that she should have her own life and all, but you have to remember, she is a disney star and thousands of little girls look up to her. How would you like it if your four year old wanted a tatoo of 'Just Breathe' on her chest just because her role model has one? She has more responsiblity than all of the other 16-17 year old kids.

(And I'm 16, never had a tatoo, never will.)

"Just Breathe" is a symbol of CFers. Cystic Fibrosis is a TERMINAL genetic disease, and I read she connected with a little girl who had it. I'm 17 too, and am getting a tattoo saying just breathe with a butterfly under it. I have CF too. It's a very meaningful tattoo, considering breathing is our biggest problem and we fight to breathe everyday.

i think that miley is a really good supporter even tho she lost her best friend to cystic fibrosis:) an she is supposting everybody with cf i lost my older brother to cf an i also have cf so it means alot to me my mom got a tatoo with my brothers name an my name for cf:) i love having cf even if it is anoying

@missproud2bnerdy actually, its not messed up. not at all. yes i understand people get them for religious or purposeful meanings, like a passed away loved one, etc, but god said in the bible do not make any markings upon your body. mormons believe that our bodies are a temple, and tattoos would be equivelant to grafitting one of those beautiful white temples you may have seen in your city or state. it also keeps us looking clean and a little more professional.

@shopaholicandluvinit no offense i'm not hating on your religon or anything but thats totally messed up if you can't get a tatoo. for some ppl i guess tatoos are just their way of looking "cool" or watever but if a tatoo has some kind of meaning like this ones in support of a friend who died of some disease i forget which one... what y not get it?

i think every celebrity has a agent, more like manager & all the celebrity managers sit down in a meeting room and discuss what to make there celebs popular!

For ex: I don't think that Angelina & Brad Pitt are really in love. They hate each other but there together just to keep the "Angelina & Brad! See they hold there name So idk but the industry is not always open to the public. It seems strange how they act, they wouldn't act like this if they were nobodies!

this is interesting. im a mormon, so obviously, no tattoos. however in a seventeen interview miley said that her most prized posession was her bible, its her 'source of inspiration' so if shes such a believer of the bible, wouldnt she have followed God's guidance in Levictius (cant spell...) saying do not get tattoos? its just interesting to me

@ElvareaNightshade Admittedly she has a great deal of responsibility put upon her, seeing as she is in the eye of the media, however it doesn't change the fact that she's a normal human being. Parents also have a responsibility to guide their children and help them make decisions about what's best for them. We all want something we can't have at some point and that's beyond Miley's control. She can't put her life on hold because of other people, no matter her influence.
