Round two of three in Head-to-Head Round Robin play.
Sequel to FEH 2006 Head-to-Head Robot Competition - Round Robin - G7. This is pretty typical robot behavior -- something goes wrong. Our robot is actually in the upper-left corner, so it's pretty hard to see what's going on. But, the robot missed where it was supposed to be going and was pretty much screwed from there.
Interestingly enough, this parallels the second round of the final competition (which we didn't film) pretty well: the robot missed its mark and ended up scoring points purely by accident. Except in the final competition, our robot then proceeded to try to return to another team's control room (the place where all the robots start off). Thus, our quest to win the competition ended... but there's a lot to be said for making it to the Top 16!
Sorry for the shaky-camera-syndrome, one of my group member's parents filmed this, not me (although why she didn't film the final competition is beyond me...)
It's pretty hard to see what's going on, so if you want a clearer view of what our robot was supposed to have done, take a look at our near-perfect run from Individual (preliminary) Competition: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4vEwDUP-3k
Also, the guy in the red shirt with the clip board is Luke Neyer from Season 4 of Beauty and the Geek (If that means anything to you). He was scoring our robot for this round.
IT'S LUKE ! :D He was my favorite haha.
