i find it funny that only one person goes to check if he is ok the guy who shot him and the boom mike guy just stood there that is ridiculous

pause at 1:10 to see trajectory of body fall and arms out,..
Note that had this been real his head would be at least one step higher...
plus the blood from head contact with proper step

@zabanitum If you pay attention, when he is falling, it cuts to the judges, then back to him and he is already down with his head on the step.

I think this is real, how many stunt people can fall backwards and land with their head on a step, without any protection, and not break their own neck or do a serious injury (other than an arrow in the head) to theirselves? Sad if it is real, but also shockingly funny for all the wrong reasons!!!! :D

Im an archer of over 10 years and I can tell you:
The bow isn't fake = 25lb+ Recurve bow ( junior to mid level)
The arrow isn't fake = 28" - 30" carbon spined, rubber veined, alloy bullet point (junior again)
The flight path and speed of the the bolt IS consistant with archer height, draw length and release action,
Impact is also consistent with 1/2 draw, a full draw at that range + the arrow would pass through some.
Unfortunately..

This is staged. 1) Person shot raised arms up and out, palms facing direction of the fall - classic stunt positioning for a fall. 2) If the person was killed on impact, they would collapse, not fall backward. 3) If they were still alive, hands/arms would have reached for the wound, not protected themselves from the fall.
Pretty obvious once you understand basic, normal human reactions.
