some places get colder, more storms occur, sea level rises. Its not just gonna be summer all the time more erratic weather will occur, not to mention grass fires which fuel it further. more mosquitoes will proliferate and consequentially disease due to the overall warmer climate. Its happening now and will exponentially accelerate for a many reasons.

I have to disagree, however. Climate change would not make growing food easier and, in fact, would cause the opposite. Crops and plants grow under specific climate conditions; if those conditions change, the crops will no longer grow in that area. I'm sure you can see where this is going.

what makes more sense to me is that the oil industries would like you to believe that global warming is a big conspiracy to make money for the greenies, when in fact what they really want is for us to continue to burn their fuel and dismiss the idea that we are having an effect on our enviroment.

your idea is crap.. the fact of the matter is no one knows for sure what is "going" to happen.. What every scientist knows and agrees upon is that we are burning millions of tons of fossil fuels every day and that by continuing to do so we are over polluting our atmosphere. This pollution traps heat in because it is a greenhouse gas.. this trapped heat melts polar caps which generally reflect light, and now in their absence, absorb light, which further heats the earths oceans.

My idea is that once it has been warming up enough it is going to lead to another ice age. And the global warming thing is some money making scheme thought up because people will belive that over the earth's own course of temperature change.

did you not sense the sarcasm in my statement? My idea is that we can not continue to polute our atmosphere and think that it is not going to have an effect on things down the road. Just because you or I wont have to deal with it does not mean that we should be irresponsible jackass' and create problems for future generations.

Your right... The Millions of tons of Co2 and Methane, and carbon monoxide, and CFC's and other toxic chemicals that we release into the atmosphere have nothing to do with it... we should just continue to burn phosil fuels till they run out with no regard for responsibility or for the safety of our planet... WHY NOT!! fuck it.. i'm only gonna be alive for another 40-50 years.. what the fuck do I care...?

Since when did we know the whole history of earth? the Yellowstone National Park puts out more CO2 than all the cars in America and there are moose in Europe that put out more CO2 than Los Angeles' car pop. And you have to admit, scientists can be wrong. 95-96% can be wrong.

no, but the vast majority of scientists agree that we are the cause of global warming, and it's some crazy number like 95 or 96% of enviormental scientists think, its hard to make an argument we're not the cause of global warming. Carbon dioxide levels have never been so high, and the earth has never in its history had its tempature increase even half as rapidly as it is now.
