child actors are usually shit. when i saw her in the movie i was like, this girl must be at least 18. couldn't believe she was actually 13 when she made the movie.

I love her... My jaw literally fell to the ground when she said her first line in true grit- she was just brilliant through out the entire movie!!

lusting cannot compensate her for what she never had: that
is to say, "talent". Her career is basically OVER before it even
started. With the exception of the horrific song at the very end
of the movie, Hailee's clunky and wooden performance ruined
a near perfect movie. The Cohen borthers desperately needed
a strong Mattie Ross to pull off this project. In the end, after
searching and searching...it's clear they never found her!

You guys need to keep your "guns holstered" so to speak. She is a pretty young girl who has potential to grow up to be a beautiful woman. As far as some of you grown folk talking about "she's hot" & "she looks, sounds & acts 18", etc., SLOW YOUR ROLE! She was THIRTEEN when the movie was shot & is FOURTEEN now. She did do an amazing job in the film, especially acting alongside Jeff Bridges & Matt Damon in her first movie. Let's just appreciate her talent for now gentleman, okay?
