  • So this only works with percentages divisible by 5?

  • @Andybaby, thanks for your question. It can be used to find any percentage. For Example: 16 percent can be found as 10% + 5% + 1 % and 19 percent can be calculated as 20% - 1%

  • @glad2teach, sorry to post comment against your comment to andybaby but i think i hv got litter different way to find 16%, i think i should give eg. as 16% of 329. solve it as 10%+6% 10% would be 32.9 as given by u & for 6% multiply 329 by 6 it will be 1974 shift decimal point by 2 it will be 19.74, add both d ans 32.9+19.74=52.64, gives ur ans n dis applies to any single digit % as multiplyin it wid main no & sfift decimal pt by 2 (i knw bad in explanation but good idea)
