On September 9th, 2009. after a 22 year wait, Capital Records re-released digitally remastered versions of all of the Beatles studio albums. Fourteen in all along with limited edition stereo and mono box sets as well. Wooden Nickel Music in Fort Wayne, Indiana celebrated the occasion
with a two hour live performance by local favorites "The Orange Opera" and the "Wailhounds" playing Beatles music at our North Anthony location. The party started at 5:30 PM and ran until 7:30 PM and was free to the public.
We drew for one of the re-mastered stereo box sets along with some limited edition numbered Beatle lithographs. Rock 104FM's Doc West was the MC.
We had beautiful weather for the outside performance with a crowd of nearly 400 attending the show. Thanks to the bands, customers and the local media for helping us celebrate the music of the Beatles with Wooden Nickel Music on 090909!
