His general character is a satirization of a type but in this particular scene is is showing the impotence of people who overly intellectualize in the face of real world dangers. Their apreciation of somthing that mocks the danger is merely cowardess and lazyness. It is showing that they aren't connected to the real world or taking real responsibility for it.

actually...as we learn from the declassified Bush information, the Germans were defeated -- but Nazism itself -- we still have a way to go to defeat that. and a lot more people have died since then, and for many things ARE terrible. and of course the state of israel IS doing the same thing to the Palestinians. all over the world there are jews who don't agree. it shows that humans are all the same, all capable of good and/or evil.

You ask what political movement had that mentality? You are referring to nazism, but what actually had it was both the West and Soviet who ended up successfully defeating nazism. If they hadn't, a lot more people had died and things would have been terrible now

@breeeegs Well the problem is that Israel is acting like Germany in WWII. They're also suspiciously close to the point of ethnic cleansing of muslims. And what's worse is that the Israeli people don't seem to care... a lot of them even defend their government.

My Uncle died in a concentration camp. He fell off a watchtower when he was pissed. His concentration was never great.
