Yes this melody was performed by Jon McLaughlin in the early seventies on visions of the emerald beyond they do it justice I'm surprised that credits are not listed
-
what is the meaning behind the song title?
-
you put the CD in the deck while driving on a freeway...then CRANK IT UP ;)

@rosskolnikov I agree we might never see another get together and perform as well as these guys did
-
Mark O'Connor makes a fiddle out-warp even Scottie!

@truebrightdreamer It's a double bass, but he plays (very well) high up on the neck. Edgar Meyer is a freak of nature, as are each of the other guys. This might have been the single most talented American band to ever take the stage. Each guy (with the possible exception of Bush) could make a credible claim to be the "best" player in American folk music history on his instrument. More than that, they all listen to each other and play music, not just notes.

This is a John Mclaughlin song from visions of Emeralds and Beyond. Very good.

@jgiuffra1 No it's not by John McLaughlin. This song was written by Bela Fleck and Edgar Meyer, but I agree that it is very good.
