Brooklyn Bridge shut down: RT's Occupy Wall Street footage

Thousands of protesters who have been camping out near Wall Street have spilled out onto the roadway, causing the Brooklyn Bridge to be shut down. At least 700 people have been arrested, including a New York Times reporter. The clash and confrontation between NYPD and thousands of protesters took place on New York's Brooklyn Bridge.

@MrSurfingCowboy If you actually listen to some of the protesters, may of them were working multiple jobs, went to college, following how the system told them to do things. And they got fired, laid off, can't afford anything. Some of them are supporting two or more kids on a part time job. "I am a nurse, not a hippie." Get a job? THERE ARE NO JOBS! The protesters aren't only youth either; there's the granny brigade, there are professors, war veterans, the homeless.

While i believe in capitalism, I believe in patriotism too. Big business leaders need to stop sending outsourcing labor to India and China. It may cost a little more, but it would help create thousands of jobs.

glob-corps & Wall street say no regulation..but the necessary & proper clause, makes it the job of this govt to regulate and protect the people from being fleeced and becoming wage-slaves...they say spend less and save more, save more of what when there isn't much left over after basics.....when was it decided that pensions and benefits and living wages would become a thing of the "past"?
