im getting this laptop soon... im wanting to know if the HDMI is a input or out put.

I had to break this into two comments.

Remember that the HDMI connection on the laptop is HDMI out to connect to an external display. You need video in to use the laptop screen as a display from an external source. If you have a TV tuner card or video in connection in the laptop you can use the laptop screen as the display. See the videos by huskermania for ideas. He has videos on how to connect your computer and xbox over an ethernet connection or with a usb EasyCap connector.
