yes, there is a little bit of a difference if you dance each properly.
lyrical is mroe getting into the music and letting your movements tell the story.
modern is the same in that you let your body tell the story, but it is more human like, don't think so much like a dancer as you usually would. modern comes MORE naturally than lyrical would, lyrical is all fluid movements, and modern can sometimes be more sharp.
