A documentary on racism in Mississippi in 1965 forever changed the life of an African-American waiter and his family. More than 40 years later, the director's son revisits the scene, creating a heartbreaking portrait of the legacy of intolerance.

Hey "quitebalanced2." I was there during the filming of this documentary and DeFelitta's team cared very much about the story and those involved. They took great care in telling this story. You should actually watch it. His father was a huge voice in the storytelling so to say "The son returns to minimize his fathers role" is simply ludicrous.

Plus, Booker was a proud business owner and admired in his community... From what I know about the man... he would never let anyone "relocate" him.

was an offer to relocate Booker/his family made? Mississippi gave birth to the murders of Emmett Till, Medgar Evers, Chaney, Goodman & Schwerner - countless others known and unknown. booker lived to REGRET his decision to speak out and he refused to meet with frank d. after he was beaten, savagely. 40 yrs later, the son returns to minimize his father's role in the tragic saga, exploit (use) the family, profit from and garner journalistic accolades. is the wright (right) family being compensated?

It would be appreciable if the comments on/for this documentary were actually about this documentary. It seems to be about a journey for both the film maker and Brooker's granddaughter, simultaneity finding out about their history. I'm looking forward to see it and telling my friends about the interview on Democracy Now! with Amy Goodman.

No need to blame jews here, they have been equally mistreated in the beginning. The people we should blame are the anglo-americans who killed us and discriminated us... They're still the people in power here, people like George Bush and his likes. Even in rich society theres discrimination against people who are not english white.
